From: Commanding Officer, 2019 Summer Training, Buffalo NY
To: All Cadets attending NLCC Basic/Advanced Orientation, NSCC Culinary Arts, NSCC Petty Officer Leadership Academy, NLCC/NSCC Shore Patrol training at Buffalo Naval Park.
GREETINGS:
Welcome aboard to Basic and Advanced NLCC Orientation, POLA, Culinary Arts & Navy Shore Patrol training aboard the USS Little Rock in Buffalo Harbor. This will be the large summer training evolution ever in Buffalo with approximately 110 Cadets, Staff Cadets, Officers and Instructors expected to attend.
As Commanding Officer I am well aware of the difficulties in obtaining uniform parts from NHQ. The sea bag list is a guideline and should be followed as closely as possible. The most important items are a clean, pressed and squared away set of dress whites or NLCC Salt and Pepper uniform for the group photograph and graduation and PLENTY of PT shirts and at least 2 pairs of navy blue or black PT shorts. It can be quite hot here in Buffalo and much of our training might be conducted in PT gear.
For GPS directions to the training at Buffalo Naval Park: Please use the following address:
Buffalo Naval Park, One Naval Park Cove, Buffalo, NY 14202 or
The intersection of Marine Drive and Naval Park Cove.
If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to email me at [email protected] or call me at 716-892-0769. Starting Friday morning July 25th I will only be able to be contacted on my cell phone 716-704-4485. Please do not attempt to contact me at that cell number until then.
The entire staff and I are looking forward to your attendance and promise you excellent training and an awesome time. Pictures of this training can be found on this website under "Photo Gallery" tab.
